Coconut Butter Balls
Hey, Everyone! Got a major sweet tooth like me? Well, these dessert balls are the perfect satisfying and healthy treat to grab on the go. They are super easy to prepare and they are protein packed. Coconut oil is a healthy fat for your body. It helps the functions of your heart and thyroid gland and can actually aid in losing weight! For this recipe, you will only need five simple ingredients that you can find at just about any grocery store. I found mine at Trader Joe's and Target!
Prep time: 25 minutes
Makes: 11 balls
Ingredients:
In a large bowl, mix the coconut butter and agave nectar together until smooth. Slowly stir in the coconut flour until the texture is slightly crumbly. Roll the mixture into 1 inch balls and place on a wax paper lined baking tray. Place the tray of balls in the freezer for 10 minutes. In a small saucepan, melt the coconut oil and chocolate chips together over low heat, stirring until smooth. Pour the melted chocolate into a bowl for easier dipping. Take the balls out of the freezer and with a toothpick or by hand dip the balls half way into the chocolate then place back on the tray. Freeze the balls for 10 more minutes so the chocolate can harden. Take them out of the freezer and option to sprinkle with cinnamon, matcha ( great for boosting metabolism ) or any desired topping. These can be stored in the freezer or the fridge. Enjoy!
