Golden Milk

This drink is basically a turmeric latte and extremely healing to the body. Turmeric is a natural pain reliever, antioxidant, anti inflammatory root. It is used in traditional Indian and Chinese medicine for natural remedies. Mix turmeric with the extraordinary healing power of ginger and black pepper and it'll be sure to knock your cold right out! It may not sound super tasty, but it surprisingly is. 


Prep time: 10 minutes


Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut milk
2 tbsp coconut oil
3 tbsp honey
1 chunk of ginger
1 teaspoon powdered turmeric 
1 tbsp whole black peppercorn 


Recipe:

In a small sauce pan, gently bring coconut milk to a boil. Finely chop the ginger and add all ingredients to the coconut milk then reduce to a simmer over low heat. Strain the golden milk into a mug to leave out pieces of ginger and pepper. Enjoy!
